Our slaughterhouse is a state of the art meat processing plant equipped with an animal receiving unit, feedlot, abattoir with deboning facilities, meat inspection, quality control area, chilling rooms, hygiene and sanitation unit, transportation and technique unit, feed stores and processing units. Our Certifications
We have unshakable commitment to quality: In 2019 Luna export became an FSSC 22000 certified company, proof that our food safety management system is in compliance with the requirements of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Furthermore we are certified ISO14000 on environment management system and ISO22000 on food safely management system.
Our Animal Treatment
All the animals that we slaughter have grazed in open pastures and are treated humanely to international standards. We have the capacity to vacuum pack our meat to ensure that what our export maintains its optimal freshness, on the shelf for up to 70 days.
Our Commitment to the Environment
We are in business for the long haul and we know that unless we take care of the environment our journey will be short. That is why we have invested in a biogas digester – that converts our solid waste into energy – generating most of our energy requirements, and a water treatment center that recycle our water waste into clean water.
